2018 2500 , took my truck in for warranty work on the coolant level sensor. I knew about the recall when I brought my truck into dealership. I've owned the truck for a little over a yr. When I brought it miles was at 50,000 , currently 92,903. I use my truck commercially. I never had a message come up until I took it to dealer. See dealer message came up about exhaust filter and the check engine light also came on. I was 2 hrs away from home, I made it home with the message coming up see dealer exhaust filter. I don't drive the truck for a couple days, when I do the check engine light went off and the message went away. I know for sure the issue stems from the software update. I can hear my fans coming on now with the truck barely getting to running temp. With a month wait to get into dealership for a forced Regen, then I get a letter from a salesman at dealer saying they want to buy the truck for more than market value. I don't think I'll be back ✌️

I think they just want to lock the computer so you can't mess with it

I have a 2019 Ram 3500 dually and just received my recall VB6, 67A in the mail today. Washington State.

My son has a 1989 Plymouth Subdance with a 2.5 non turbo that his grandfather gave him. His injector on throttle body is not firing. He says he did tests and believes the ecm is bad. Is there a way to test the ecm to make sure that is the issue before spending a bunch of cash on a new one? Thanks you guys are awesome.

Thank you for this video! To be clear, if it runs on high or not at all, it’s likely the resistor? Occasionally (usually in summer) on our 2014 Encore the fan would stay on after ignition was off which I suspect is a sticking relay (but it’s very intermittent). When trying to diagnose in the garage I noticed the fan would cycle on/off what I think was high speed when the AC was on but wouldn’t come on at all with AC off (and engine at normal temp), even when revving the engine. Feels like all (high, med, low) relays would click when the fan did come on.

As a kid I would take Nestles Quick, the powder and put some in the bottom of my cereal bowl and either put Coco Puffs in the bowl or Rice Krispies. This made it more have more chocolate flavor.

Have not watched your show on youtube for many months since typically listen on your Podcast app. Your youtube video commercial breaks are way better managed with info and no dead silence periods in the video than many months ago. Lots of useful transmission concerns brought here by callers. Been down that path too recently on a high mileage vehicle. 1st traansmission fluid/filter changed at 80,000 then at 130,000 then at 162,000. Now need to use a product found at Autozone to help with the trans shudder. Just a daily driver for a 25 min drive. Might make it to 175,000 before having to get another vehicle. Not worth replacing trans due to some vehicle body rust issues

Quick question for anyone that can answer it: I have a 2012 Toyota Corolla that is currently blowing warm air out the vents. I pushed the valve stem on a high pressure line with a rag over and safety glasses on and extremely cold refrigerant came out, like ice cold. But that ice cold is not making it into the evaporator and cooling the cabin. What could it be??? I was thinking compressor, but why would it be so ice cold, if it was the compressor? Also the condenser fan is working.

On the tbird...wonder if he power brakes it is the idle smooths out and then slowly starts maxing out. Enrichment valves can't take any backfires so might be leaking.

1:12:01. Russ - you were right. It turned out to be the pig-tail signal wire on the 2005 Mountaineer Alternator for the “Check Charging System” problem I described. Many thanks and truly amazing, as always!

On my 2010 I can get it to flash as described, but after that, I cannot get what he is doing. I don't get anything saying cancel. I am not able to follow along after the first step. I tried it later on, but was fully started and I long pressed until flashing, then long pressed again until 100% was displaying, which after I just single pressed to change to a trip counter.

love your show, long time podcast listener. I have a 2003 vw jetta with a 2.0 engine automatic. The coolant flange on the left side cracked, lost all his coolant and and overheated. My son thought it was a good idea to let it cool down and then keep driving. Unfortunately this is not an air cooled engine. I now have almost no compression 1 - 60, 2 - 40, 3 - 0, 4 - 30 Car ran fine before the overheat. No coolant in oil. Car is in OK shape with 400,000 km ( 250,000 miles) do you think my engine is cooked and I should replace it or should I take the head off and see if I can get away with just a new head?

Here's a topic I'd like to hear the guys discuss: I believe that a significant number of motor vehicle crashes are caused by some sort of medical event experienced by the driver. When "Full Self Driving" is widely adopted in the population of vehicles on the road, I believe number of these crashes will be greatly reduced. I expect that in many of these cases the "Full Self Driving" vehicle will continue on its route to deliver the victim of the medical event to their final destination. This may open a whole new area of medical ethics and traffic regulations.

Have this problem in a f-150, changed the blend door and still clicking, also blowing out extremely hot air even when the ac is off, what do you think it could be?
